2023 began with a big boom announcement of OpenAI. As AI begins to play into our lives with software, hardware and devices, I spend a lot of time thinking about how these new applications are going to impact video and commerce and have landed on 3 areas: creating content, playing with content, and distribution of content.
By now you might have heard the word prompt engineering in the context of Generative AI. It is a mechanism to ask or prompt the AI tool to do a task for you. Here are 10 prompts that we predict will change the way you make, share or play video:
1) Take the 10 pictures from my Greece Trip featuring me and my family, and produce a video that is 2 minutes and 30 seconds long with the pictures and features Greek classical music by Vangelis.
2) Please take the video of my new house tour and create it as a night time tour as if it is 9pm in the dark instead of during the day so I can measure the light at night.
3) Can you please make the cat run on the right side of the road instead of the left?
4) Can you please put me in the car in the video review and show me how I look and fit in it?
5) How would I look walking down the runway in that dress?
6) Can you take my favorite Tom and Jerry cartoon and replace Tom with an anime version of me?
7) Can you take the Samsung TV video that is 30 minutes long and show me a new video with just the key features of the television?
8) Can you take the 10 video reviews of this Apple headset and produce a video highlighting negative sentiment for my product team?
9) Can you count the number of people in the audience for the AI panel at the convention center so I can measure attendance?
10) Can you please replace Harrison Ford’s voice in the video with Chris Pratt’s voice?
In short, these prompts change how we did things in the past, present and future. These prompts further democratize creativity, create a million new possibilities and change how we can begin and end our video journeys. They change how we mix, match and combine sound, image and text. They alter content ownership rights and perhaps even muddle them. This is just the beginning. Happy Prompting!
