TheXFuture & Berkeley Global co-sponsor A.I.League Event
Out of scores of applications from A.I. start-up companies, only ten were invited to come together virtually, grill one another and be grilled by a panel of investors about their product, company positioning and vision.
Over 100+ investors, founders and other attendees were spectators and participants at the event to select the grand jury award and the popular award.
Top 10 Founders go toe-to-toe
Ajay squared off with Arjun Rai, the founder and CEO of HelloWoofy, a social media and blog management platform driven by artificial intelligence. The two founders questioned one another with vigor, then investors followed up with clarifying and new questions putting both founders in the hot seat.
Out of the ten founders, only four made it to the finals where they were paired up again into two teams. In this round, Ajay faced-off with Dr. Zbigniew Wojna - founder of TensorFlight, a company that solves business problems utilizing computer vision algorithms. The two sparred back and forth before the panel of investors quizzed them with clarifying questions of their own.
Leap Analysis, a company that provides companies unfettered access to multiple data sources instantly, taking cancer research to a new level, won the grand jury prize ~ a monetary commitment from investors.
Vyrill won the popular vote from the audience of investors, founders, supporters and students and was a standout favorite of the entire event.
Popular vote shines spotlight on Vyrill
Since the face-off, Vyrill continues to receive exposure with investors, UC Berkeley Global’s community and the A.I. Community at large.
Ajay was grateful for the great opportunity. The popularity of Vyrill speaks volumes to the founder, affirming what he’s known all along, that he’s moving in the right direction with the company and that there is a bright future for what he’s developed over the past four years with Dr. Barbara Rosario.
